directions for feeding: if possible all kittens should receive colostrum by nursing on their mother for the first several days. weigh kittens at the beginning and every 3 days to determine amount to feed. bottle-fed kittens: feed 1 teaspoon (5 ml) per 4 ounces (115 g) of body weight every 3-4 hours. as kittens age, feeding frequency may be decreased and amount per feeding increased. at 4 to 6 weeks begin offering petlac kitten in a shallow bowl for kittens to lap; do not discontinue bottle feeding until eating well on their own. during the 6th week mix petlac kitten with kmr 2nd step to transition to solid food. weaned kittens: feed 1 tablespoon (15 ml) per 5 lbs daily mixed in regular food. pregnant and lactating females: feed 2 tablespoons (30 ml) per 5 lbs daily mixed in regular food. shake gently. refrigerate after opening. storage: discard unused formula after 14 days. do not freeze in original container; may be frozen in single-serving containers.
